Weekly newsletter #33
The best of what I've read this week, about operations, training and education, communication, and more
Hello!
I hope you are recovering from any conferences you may have attended in-person or followed along with online last week! I enjoyed seeing all the posts and videos from INBOUND, including the main stage videos and people tagging me on my photo on the champions wall, to feel like I was there – without the usual burnout after only 1-2 hours of interacting with other people. :) I hope to see more people posting the resources from the sessions that were not streamed, so we can all learn from them.
In other news, I finished another blog that will hopefully help you improve your documentation. You can read it to learn more about adding visuals and multimedia to your documentation to make it more useful and more used.
Aaaaaaand this week, Substack decided to make all my drafts disappear after I had completed the most tedious part of the newsletter, putting my saved Linkedin posts into a legible format in the newsletter. Two hours of work mysteriously disappeared and it would sometimes flash onscreen for a second before disappearing again. I compiled the rest of the newsletter in a Google doc while I waited for Substack to respond to my help ticket and Twitter request. It’s been almost 48 hours and they did not respond, so I redid the work to send this to you today. Lesson: If you use Substack, write your drafts in another document first!
Onto the resources!
